On the morning of August 18, the Anhui Finals of the 5th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition ended. The award ceremony was solemnly held in the afternoon. This meant that after two months of selection, the China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition’s Anhui region ended successfully. In the end, the serum gastric test project of BIOHIT Healthcare (Hefei) Co., Ltd. won the first prize of the Anhui Enterprise Group in the 5th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition.
The Anhui competition of the 5th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was hosted by the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Department, guided by the Torch High-tech Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science & Technology, and organized by the Hefei Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee and Anhui Science and Technology Enterprise Incubator Association. Throughout the province, excellent companies and teams had been produced by gradual elimination, and recommended to enter the national competition from the winning companies and teams according to the promotion quota allocated by the organizing committee.
Since the competition was officially launched in May 2016, the province had received a total of 704 applications, including 269 applications for team group. The number of applications increased significantly compared to previous years. After two months of fierce competition, a total of 30 companies and 10 teams entered the finals. According to the awards setting, the first, second and third prizes of the enterprise group will be awarded in the finals (1, 3 and 6 respectively); the first, second and third prizes of the team group will be awarded, with 1 winner for each prize. In addition, there are awards for 20 outstanding enterprises and 5 outstanding teams.
In the two-day finals competition, top entrepreneurs from all over the province brought on-site audiences good projects. According to the final schedule, there would be two finals of the enterprise group on August 17. On August 18, the team group started to compete on the same stage. Each player had 10 minutes, and the defense adopted the “6+4” mode. The results were announced on site, which was not only just and fair, but also made the atmosphere more tense and intense. There were 5 heavyweight expert judges in the Anhui finals, including Guisheng Yang, Chairman of Hefei Genius New Materials Co., Ltd., Professor Chao Xu from Anhui University, Huali Zhang, Partner of Sangel Capital, Fan Wu, Investment Director of Guangfa Xinde Investment Management Co., Ltd., and Xiaohui Pei, Investment Manager of Hefei Innovation Technology Venture Capital Co., Ltd. In addition, a public judging panel composed of 40 heads of entrepreneurial incubators and financial venture capital institutions became a highlight of the finals.
In the end, our company’s serum gastric testing project passed the preliminary and rematch of Hefei City, as well as the semifinals and finals of Anhui Province, and won the first prize of the enterprise group.
As a result, the 5th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition in Anhui was successfully concluded. BIOHIT Healthcare (Hefei) Co., Ltd. would represent Anhui Province in the national competition.
